What sets Coffee Noir apart is its inviting mix of indoor comfort and spacious outdoor seating, making it a perfect spot year-round—whether you're looking to kickstart your morning, catch up on work, or simply savor some quiet moments outdoors.
The menu here is a delightful celebration of classic and inventive coffee creations combined with satisfying breakfast offerings. Whether you crave the smooth richness of a Espresso Macchiato or the indulgent sweetness of a Frozen Mocha, Coffee Noir crafts each drink with care, creating layers of flavor that awaken your senses. The Drip Coffee at just $2.25 stands out as an approachable, everyday option, while the Cold Brew and its refill keep caffeine lovers refreshed and energized. For those who appreciate a spiced twist, the Spiced Mocha offers a comforting warmth that lingers beautifully.
But Coffee Noir is more than just a coffee stop—it’s a place where food and drink come together to brighten your day. The breakfast burritos, notably the Bacon Egg Cheese Burrito and the veggie-packed Spinach and Veggie Burritos, have been highlights among visitors. Picture biting into a perfectly wrapped, savory burrito, where fluffy eggs, melty cheese, and fresh veggies meld in harmonious balance. The flaky croissants, another favorite, offer a buttery, tender bite that pairs beautifully with any coffee or black iced tea.
Customer feedback consistently highlights the friendly atmosphere and attentive baristas who add a personal touch to each visit. As one reviewer fondly noted, the staff is patient and warm, making the ordering experience a relaxed pleasure rather than a rushed transaction. The outdoor seating, especially cherished during spring and summer, creates a cozy nook that invites conversation, study sessions, or peaceful solo moments, often with a furry friend by your side since the café is dog-friendly.
Prices at Coffee Noir are refreshingly reasonable, drawing comparisons to pricey chain shops with customers happily noting the value without sacrificing quality. While there’s a variety of drinks catering to differing palates—from the bright and refreshing Orange Creamsicle to the robust Americano—the quality and attentive preparation remain consistent. Some patrons have mentioned a preference for a lighter roast, which speaks to the café’s authentic appeal to true coffee lovers who appreciate bold, full-bodied blends.
There are also thoughtful voices in the community hoping to see more vegetarian food options or quieter barista tools to soften the coffee preparation sounds, showing a genuine engagement with making Coffee Noir even more inviting. This feedback only underscores the loyalty customers feel toward the spot; they aren’t just visitors but part of an evolving café experience that they cherish and want to see thrive.
In essence, Coffee Noir is a humble, heartfelt coffee haven where quality, community, and comfort intertwine. Whether you’re craving a smooth blend, a hearty breakfast burrito, or a quiet place to unwind, this Salt Lake City nook promises a little moment of joy in every sip and bite.
Cafe Noir has a great seating selection inside and outside, dog friendly, and have a great selection of cafe drinks and food to choose from! I had a Blended Mocha Coffee and a breakfast bacon egg burrito! Both items were amazing and delicious! My mom just a had a Black Unsweetened Iced Tea the was also amazing!
Clean, quaint coffee shop. Seating inside and out. I ordered a peppermint mocha and a blueberry donut, which were delicious. The staff was very warm and friendly. The price was amazing -- I paid at least half what I would've at the chain coffee shops (looking at you SB). I highly recommend!
Little shop tucked away in the university district with ample amount of outdoor seating perfect for the spring and summer seasons. Would also be a cute place to come and do work. The barista was very sweet and made our drinks quickly (I apologize I couldn’t get your name friend). Coffee was decent, perhaps a bit too dark of a blend for my tastes but was still good!
I'd always heard about this place from classmates but I'd never checked it out until now! I absolutely love it! It's a little place that's just tucked away in its own little nook in SLC, it's kinda easy to miss--but don't miss it! The lady who was serving us was so so sweet and friendly, was very patient with us while we deciding what to get (took us a hot second per usual). There were plenty of spaces inside and outside to hang out and chat. We got the matcha sandwich cookie and a vanilla latte. Both were very simple but very good! The cookie was a little more on the sweet side and it didn't really taste like matcha, but that's okay. Otherwise I'd totally visit again for its comforting and simple vibes.
Probably my favorite coffee place in Salt Lake. Their outdoor seating is the best. So nice and cosy, decent coffee, and prices. The only thing - I wish they would give barristas some tools so they are not as loud when making coffee. That thwack sound when they knock coffee grounds out makes me jump up every time. I also wish their burritos tasted better and/or they had more vegetarian food options.
Coffee Noir is an absolute gem! First, coffee and food are two thumbs up (I recommend the sausage, egg and cheese croissant, and lemon poppyseed scones). Located walking distance from the University of Utah and downtown Salt Lake City, the customer service is exceptional—with friendly and attentive staff, and the atmosphere is both inviting and cozy. Great free high-speed Wi-Fi, too, make it perfect for relaxing inside or out while working away from home. Coffee Noir's great location attracts visitors from around the world, adding to its diverse and positive vibe. Plus, it's pet-friendly, making it a favorite spot for dog owners. Whether you're a local or just visiting, Coffee Noir offers a welcoming experience with a friendly global touch. Highly recommend for its warmth, connectivity, and inviting sense of community. Oh, and the music playlists are Top Notch!
